Breakfast is without doubt the most important and crucial meal of the day. However, it is often one of the most skipped meals. Eating breakfast is important, since in the morning we have been without food for 8 to 12 hours and our body needs to have its fuel. [We get energy from the glucose contained in foods.We get that musch important fuel from our breakfast] We also get important nutrients such as vitamins, minerals, dietary fiber, and protein.

Breakfast also can help keep your weight in check. Breakfast kick-starts the body’s metabolism, the process by which the body converts the fuel in food to energy. And when the metabolism gets moving, the body starts burning calories.Skipping breakfast is strongly linked to the development of obesity. People who skip breakfast in the mistaken belief that they can lose weight that way often end up snacking and consuming more calories and end up gaining weight. That’s because someone who skips breakfast is likely to get famished before lunchtime and snack on high-calorie foods or overeat at lunch.

People who do not eat breakfast often have a hard time concentrating. They also have difficulty learning because they are scatterbrained.  Not eating breakfast affects the concentration. People who have their breakfast dont have problem concentrating when compared to those who skip their breakfast. They also don’t have problem focussing on the tasks at hand.

Most kids will usually eat the amount of food that’s right for them, however, it is up to the parents to ensure that their children have the right foods available to choose from.
